How to cheer up a teacher on a wet Monday morning (and the class as well) - bring the puppets up. I've got 10 of these in my class collection - one for each finger, when I get really good at it. The children pay attention the moment I get the puppets out and in the past I've used them for counting, story time, talking about sad news and introducing a new LSA to everyone. I've even filmed the children putting on little plays with these finger puppets and replayed the film on parent evening.
